Now Viewing: Surf memorabilia auction > 2008 Auction

Surf memorabilia auction, Lake Kawana Community Centre, Nov 8, from 4.30pm

Yes, it is open to the general public! We will have food and drinks, live music and a laidback atmosphere where you are welcome to bring the family and enjoy the action.

We have a mammoth list of items to be auctioned this year. Following the corporate surf challenge in the morning, we are holding the after-party in the Lake Kawana Community Centre.

Kicking off at 4.30pm. we'll have live music, followed by the presentations for the surf comp and the charity auction. Afterwards there will be more music. All the while we'll have the bar open and food on sale.

Surf memorabilia auction

2007 was our biggest auction ever raising over $10,000 for our beneficiaries. Combined with our entry fees we have raised a total of $20,650. Thanks to everyone who donated items and also to those who dug deep to buy.

We are already planning for 2008 so if your business would like to make a donation of auctionable goods just contact Mark Skinner on 0411 477 390.

ALL HEART: Big wave surfer Mark Visser with an autographed board he snapped chasing massive swells in Teahupo. Auctioneer Paul Hogan whips the crowd into a frenzy for the auction item, which eventually went to Coast surfing stalwart Ian Portingale (Porto to his mates).
