Registration: Friday 4th November, 2011
Friday night registration, competitors’ presentation and drinks from 5.30-8.00 pm at the Kawana Surf Lifesaving Club.
Competition: Saturday 5th November, 2011 from 6.00 am till midday. To be held at Kawana Beach (with alternative sites at Maroochydore Beach or Ann Street, Caloundra, if conditions require).
Kitesurfing comp to run in conjunction with surf event at next break downwind and with staggered start/finish times. More details closer to the day.
Prize ceremony & Auction: From 1pm Saturday 5th November, 2011 at the Kawana Surf Club. Drinks, food and live entertainment. General public most welcome. Surfers wearing their competition shirt will receive drink vouchers.

Beneficiaries

We've already kicked off our donations to worthy beneficiaries with a scooter for Beerwah's Lauren Kidd. Just like every other teenage girl, Lauren's favourite way to chill out is to hang with friends and go shopping.
Unfortunately, until now the
Beerwah 13-year-old has not been able to indulge in her hobbies
very often because of juvenile
arthritis in her hips.
At the beginning of the school
term The Board Meeting
donated a blue scooter to Lauren.
Her mum, Wendy, said the
scooter would help improve
Lauren’s social life and also make
her time at school easier.

2011 Charity Surf Comp at Kawana, November 5

The event, which started in 2003 is run in early November each year and draws on the enthusiasm and generosity of the Surfing and Business communities to participate in an amateur surfing competition where the emphasis is on fun. It is also a great opportunity for surfers to get together in the water, have a good time and broaden their local business contacts.
36 corporate teams of four surfers take to the water in heats to battle it out with a special points scoring system that slightly favours "more mature" surfers. Each team must have at least one "Malibu" or longboard.
The comp is open to young and old, amateur and pro, trade and professional.

Entry cost: $500.00 for team of 4 - includes t-shirts, rashies, caps, magazines and other assorted merchandise. Also included are drinks vouchers for both registration night and post-comp celebration.
Donations (voluntary): The organizers welcome donations from individuals and businesses wishing to support our efforts without participating in the contest. Recognition and other exposure opportunities are available in return for your generous support. Donate online or send us a cheque. All cheques should be made payable to The Board Meeting Corporate Surf Event and posted to PO Box 6030, Upper Mt Gravatt Qld 4122
Donations of memorabilia and prizes for the surf memorabilia auction can also be made, as it is a great avenue for exposure within the surfing business community.
